Bio: Karen is a photographer living in the Boston area. She produces portraits, fine art prints and custom photo illustration under the name Curved Studios. She also freelances as a photojournalist.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications (with a concentration in Filmmaking) from Emerson College and has completed numerous workshops at the New England School of Photography.

Some of her influences include Josef Sudek, Andre Kertesz, Julia Margaret Cameron, Diane Fenster, Nick Johnson, Paul Gaugin, Vincent Gallo and Jackson Pollock.

When she is not shooting or post processing on the computer she likes to spend time with her son, Max and sing in her band, The Freeways.
