Exploring the Source

EFG Books and Gallery
Bridgton, Maine

April 3, 2010

We welcomed some new voices for April's Exploring the Source poetry reading. Leah Stetson began the night a few poems including "Crabs don't always eat their young" and a poem using the "cut-up method" entitled my "Sweet Rackety Trapeze." Carmel Collins returned with "On the Tips of the Waves" which showcased her theatrical delivery. Another regular, Eric Dibner, read some of his work, including "Sha-la-la-la-la", a musical poem. Dan Mishkin made the trek from Portland, where he is a student studying English at USM, to share a few humorous poems with us including a sonnet. Jonathan Weld finished up the reading in fine form with "From the Farm". It was great to see so many new faces and hear their unique voices.
